How To Care Emerald Promise Ring
Today I’d like to g summarize a few issues involved in caring for this emerald promise ring or any other emerald jewel.
(a) The ideal design for emerald rings with diamonds or without diamonds is one where, the edge or the border of the emerald gem stone is not exposed. This is an area that can chip or break if struck with impact and is normally the thinnest portion of any cut gem stone. If you notice the design of the RG212 diamond emerald engagement ring shown above, you will see that the emerald gems are set close to each other and therefore do not expose the side edges of the gems. In a similar way the top and bottom edges of the emerald gem stones are set within the gold and therefore well protected.
(b) Emeralds should not be exposed to heat or strong sunlight, this can cause the natural oils used to treat the emerald to dry up quickly. Care should also be taken when storing your engagement diamond emerald ring and warm places should be avoided. The emerald will not look all that gorgeous once the oils have dried up.
(c) Do not clean your engagement emerald diamond ring in an ultrasonic cleaner or use strong detergents for the purpose. The best way to clean emerald jewelry is to wipe it with a slightly moist soft cloth, once done gently dab the ring with a piece of soft dry cloth. Soaps and other chemicals can affect the gem stone and should be avoided. No ultrasonic cleaners should be used for cleaning emerald gem stone jewellery.
(d) Do not wear your diamond emerald engagement ring when doing physical activity, the gem stone could break or crack when struck with impact. This is infact good advice for all jewelry and the practice would increase the life of almost any jewel. Let your jewelry be the last thing that you put on when dressing for an occassion and let it be the first thing to come off once you are back home.
