Every Girl Has A Gold Promise Ring Dream
Every girl has a romantic dream, that she is the graceful princess, one day, she would meet her handsome prince, and he would give her the beautiful gold promise ring. It seems that girls always have the fascination on gold things. Such case does still exist in goddess.
In ancient Greek stories, there was a girl, called Atalanta, who was a maiden of boeotia. When she was a child she was told that her marriage would be fatal to her, so she made u her mind never to marry. But she was so beautiful, so desirable that many men were eager to approach her as suitors. They troubled her constantly and would not be denied. At last, Atlanta hit upon a stratagem. She told her suitors that the one who could conquer her in a foot ace can be her bride, but on those who failed would be imposed the penalty of death. As Atlanta lived in the woods ted devoted to hunting and other woodland sports, she was so good at running that all of the men who engaged in the contest failed. As punishments, they were imposed the cruel penalty. However, Hippomenes who was attracted by Atalanta’s graceful, so he decided to have a try. Atalanta was so sorry to see such a handsome men have to suffer death. But Hippomenes did not. He went to Venus (Greek: Aphrodite, the goodness of beauty) look for help, Venus agreed to help him. She came up with the plan of the golden apples. The next day the race took place, despite his best efforts, Hippomenes saw the girl take the lead. At a key moment, Hippomenes dropped the apples directly into the path of Atalanta, its beauty dazzled her eyes and without realizing what she was doing she stooped and snatched them from the ground, and this allowed Hippomenes to win. He then be able to marry her.
It is really an interesting story. But we can know that the beauty of gold never fail to fascinates girls, on matter today or in ancient time. When you want to win a girl’s heart, you can try to give her a gold ring, may be you would succeed. But it’s not a must.
